RM5 million allocation to fix Tvet instituions proves gov't concerns towards youth

KUANTAN - The Unity Government’s allocation of RM5 million to repair infrastructure of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (Tvet) institutions in Pahang proves its concerns towards youth’s current needs.

Kuantan Mara High Skill College director Khairul Hisham Abd Kadar said the college appreciated the government’s concern and initiative for student welfare to ensure they could learn in a comfortable environment.

"The Prime Minister is great, he really cares about what the youth needs to create a good workforce for the country.

"We ourselves do have allocations from Mara to conduct repairs, but we really appreciate this special allocation,” he told Bernama following news that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had allocated RM5 million for repairs to Tvet institutions today.

Meanwhile, Che Hazmi Amiruddin Che Hussin, a 20-year-old student taking a engineering diploma at the college felt that the proactive move by the government showed it was attuned to the challenges faced by students.

"It’s a pleasant surprise to hear about the RM5 million allocation... they could fix the toilets, which are in need of light repairs, when facilities are well maintained, we can focus on our studies,” he said.

Fellow student Muhammad Syafiq Hashim, 18, concurred and expressed his appreciation to the government over its efforts to ensure that students could be educated in a quality and organised situation.

"This proves the government cares for us, maybe in my college, several infrastructure in the dormitory can be improved,” the first year manufacturing engineering diploma student said. - BERNAMA
