LABUAN - Three individuals, including two uniformed officers, were detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) after being suspected of using documents containing false details to claim more than RM100,000.

The three suspects, including a woman in her 30s, were arrested at the Labuan MACC office at about 2.30pm today.

According to sources, the document used by the suspect contained false details to claim a patrolling assignment.

All three, on duty in Labuan and Tawau, were believed to have committed the act in 2019.

When contacted, Labuan MACC Director Datuk Robbyie Shym Datu Pindatun confirmed the arrest, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.

"The three suspects will be brought to the Labuan Magistrate's Court tomorrow morning (Wed) for remand application," he said.
