'Muda brings people's voices to highest leader.' - Cheda Razak

SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) is advocating for the people's voice to be brought to the highest leaders, despite some claiming that small parties find it difficult to bring about change.

Muda candidate for the Batu Tiga State Legislative Assembly, Saiyidah Izzati Nur Razak Maideen or better known as Cheda Razak said the party was committed to providing close service-oriented politics to the people.

"Based on the records of service-oriented politics brought by Muda from the beginning until now, it shows that regardless of holding positions or not, we are still addressing people's issues up to the highest leadership level.

"Muda continues to be on the ground helping the community because we consider the people as our number one mission," she said during the Sinar Live programme entitled 'Unfazed Against Heavyweight Candidates' hosted by Haizir Othman, which also featured Pakatan Harapan candidate for Batu Tiga, Danial Al Rashid Haron, yesterday.

At the same time, she expressed Muda's intention to become a balancing force within the government administration, even though there are claims that the party represents the third force between the ruling and opposition blocs.

She said the third force was not aimed at breaking unity or splitting votes, but rather it represented a democratic power especially given to the people to choose leaders who can articulate their voices from the grassroots level.

"It is not Muda's intention to overthrow the government or accuse elected representatives of failing to perform their duties. As I mentioned earlier, being a balancing force is crucial for us to represent the people's voice both in the State Legislative Assembly and Parliament.

"If entrusted with a mandate, I will always bring up any issue from the grassroots level so that the people's problems can be conveyed to the highest leaders, as stated in the party's manifesto," she explained.

She added that the people were more discerning and wanted to know their rights in politics so that they can advocate for their own fate in the future.

Therefore, having representatives in the State Legislative Assembly who understood the issues of the community in the area was crucial to enhance efficiency in resolving the problems faced by the society.

"The people are more discerning and can evaluate or express their opinions on the work delivered by the appointed leaders, whether it is carried out properly and responsibly, and that is our mission and vision.

"I understand the people's disappointment because they believe that as a leader, we need to be their voice," she said.
