SHAH ALAM – To Hulu Kelang natives especially Perembang Indah apartment residents, Azmin Ali is a knight in shining armour.

Retiree Noralizan Ali, 60, and a father of seven who had to live under a TNB cable for seven years with his wife, Ani Sabariah, 52, took pride in Azmin Ali being a representative for Hulu Kelang for the upcoming state elections

"He is the type of person who understands poor Malaysians the most," said Noralizan.

"He secured us a house in Perembang Indah without having to pay anything, and it was a promise for if he won in the previous election, to which he won," he continued.

"It was a collaborated work between him and YB Rozaidah when Pakatan Harapan was ruling as the federal government," he added.

Retiree Tuan Jaafar bin Nordin, 69, also a resident of the Perembang Indah apartment, also held Azmin in high regard

"I see Azmin Ali as a fighter, he worked through his way on his own efforts," he said.

"He changed our lives to a better life to which we are really grateful. We appreciate him, although he is not representing Bukit Antarabangsa anymore, he I feel he will still serve his best in Hulu Kelang as a new place for him to compete and that is a sign of great support to us," he continued.

Azmin in his speech, promised that if he was given the mandate for Hulu Kelang, he would work towards betttering the socio-economic of his constituents, especially for women.

As an influential figure, Azmin Ali's decision to run in the Hulu Kelang constituency has drawn significant attention from the electorate, especially since he had announced that he would be taking a break from politics in February

He will be up against former comrade Juwairiya Zulkifli for the seat.
