SEBERANG JAYA – Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate for Seberang Jaya Izhar Shah Arif Shah is confident enough to win over the Chinese voters due to his ability to speak in Mandarin.

He said he saw this as an advantage and comfort for the Chinese voters to choose him to be a representative in the State Legislative Assembly.

"With my ability to speak in Mandarin, I fully believe that I have more advantage and comfort for the Chinese to choose me to be a leader here," Izhar shared during a walkabout at Bandar Perda.

He said as young leader, he will always help everyone in Seberang Jaya regardless of race.

"With the experience that I had when I helped my father (former Seberang Jaya assemblyman) before and having graduated with a degree in computer science, I will render much help with new methods and ways to solve the people's local and daily issues," he said.

Izhar is the son of Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah who was the former Seberang Jaya assemblyman from Barisan Nasional (BN) who had served for two terms from 2004 to 2013.

In the Penang polls, Izhar will be contesting against Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Johari Kassim in the Seberang Jaya state seat on Aug 12.
