KEPALA BATAS - Former Perlis Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim is confident that the young voters will vote for Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the upcoming Penang state elections.

In his speech at Ceramah Kelompok PDM Permatang Bertam, Penang, Shahidan said that he believed the young voters were now able to see who was right and who was wrong.

He pointed out that Umno had formed alliances with DAP and PKR, which used to be its nemesis.

"Why would you want to choose the traitor party?"

"I believe that the youth here will bring down Umno, and here I want to say that Umno is not a sacred party," he said.

Shahidan also urged Umno president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi to resign as the party's president.

"The Umno president must resign now.

"Not to forget, to all Umno supporters, please turn to the right path and choose PN for the state polls," he added.
