KOTA BHARU - The elimination of water bill arrears by Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd and abolishment of parking fees at all local authorities (PBT) are among the manifestos offered by Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan for the Kelantan state election on Aug 12.

State Madani unity government chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub said a total of 34 offers were provided for all segments of the society.

Among other things, immediate construction of an integrated public transport terminal (Kelantan Sentral) and free bus and train tickets for Kelantan students to travel back and forth twice a year until they complete their studies were also part of the manifesto.

"Through these offers, we hope the people of Kelantan can change the future of the state. It's not just empty promises, but will be realised for the welfare of the people," he said.

He said this at the ‘Tawaran Kepada Rakyat Kelantan’ conference, here, today.

Ahmad Jazlan, who is also the state Barison Nasional (BN) chairman said the offers also prioritised a 50 per cent reduction in business licenses involving PBT, assessment rates including arrears, reduction of land premiums, subdivision of land charge and changes in land conditions as well as land and mineral document payments.

Additionally, he said BN-PH also aimed to establish the North Kelantan Development Corporation to boost the state's economy through social and economic development efforts, poverty eradication, and proactive assistance to the people.

"We will also build around 5,000 units of affordable homes in five years, along with a 50 per cent discount rebate on residential planning fees for first-time homebuyers, especially the B40 group, youth, and newly-formed families," he said.
