SHAH ALAM - Pasir Puteh MP Datuk Dr Nik Zawawi Saleh made predictions that the current government helmed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will not "last long" in power.

He said this during a campaign programme for the state election at Flat PKNS Section 7, Shah Alam tonight.

"When I was invited to Thailand for a programme, I was ashamed to be asked why we [Malaysians] could allow a deceitful government to be in power. Thus we need to use the democratic way to reinstate a just government into Malaysia," he said.

Nik further expressed that the people need to topple the current government if they care for the nation and its citizens.

In a related matter, the Pasir Puteh MP states that there has been fragmentation in opposing parties in Kelantan where there have been mass resignations from other parties to join Pas and Bersatu.

"After the previous election, there have been many who have chosen to stand with Perikatan Nasional (PN).

"With Allah's will, I am sure Kelantan will set the record and enter the history books be the first state government with zero opposition this coming election," he said.

Nik also expressed confidence in PN to win big in both Terengganu and Kedah in the upcoming state election on Aug 12.
