GEORGETOWN - PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has slammed Kedah caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Sanusi Md Nor for his "stupid jokes" on TikTok, saying that they will not boost the economy or attract investors to Malaysia.

In a ceramah at Jelajah Madani Kebun Bunga on Sunday, Rafizi said that Sanusi's videos are "not funny" and that they are "embarrassing" for Malaysia.

"But does that make him a good Menteri Besar? No, it doesn't.

"Pas, do you think that for being a good Menteri Besar, you need to have somebody like Sanusi, who loves to make stupid jokes like him?

"That is why we (Pakatan Harapan) have a big problem now in this state election - because we don’t have a clown," he said.

Rafizi said that Malaysia's political atmosphere has changed, and youngsters are now more likely to be influenced by social media personalities than traditional politicians.

"The more Sanusi appears with his joke videos, the more he gets thumbs up from social media users."

"But his behaviour will not end the problems in our country," he said.

Rafizi said that Pakatan Harapan does not need a "clown" to win the upcoming state elections.

"We need a serious leader who can focus on the real issues facing Malaysia," he said.
