From fan to husband: Ubai saved school allowance to buy Shila Amzah's album

Social media influencer Ubai admitted that he had been a massive fan of his now wife, singer Shila Amzah, since 2011 when he was still in school.

Ubai or his real name Muhammad Ubaidillah Mohd Zulkefli, 25, said he saved up his pocket money to buy one of Shila's albums.

"At that time, I was in Standard One. I was given RM3 for pocket money, but I would save 50 sen daily until I could afford Shila's album.

"I've liked her since she did a duet in the '3 Suara' song with Jaclyn Victor and Ning Baizura. I have been a fan since then.

"When working in the media industry, I tried to find a way to meet her before we started communicating via TikTok live.

"Alhamdulillah, she is now my wife. I would not have thought that this journey would turn out this beautiful," he said.

Meanwhile, Shila also shared about her late mother-in-law's story on Ubai's fanaticism as Shila's fan.

"In 2014, Ubai was a fan of mine... he bought my album. My late mother-in-law used to tell me that she almost passed out from listening to too many Shila Amzah songs.

"Because along the way from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan, he (Ubai) only played my songs... imagine from KL to Kelantan only Shila Amzah songs.

"Ubai also used my picture as his profile photo on his Facebook profile," she shared.

Sharing about Ubai, Shila said she was ready to open a new chapter, experience happiness and raise her son, Seth Uwais, 4, together.

"I want to open a new chapter with Ubai; everything is new with him. I believe he can make me and our children happy.

"Seth has also become familiar and close with him. I hope we will live together forever," she said.

Meanwhile, Shila and Ubai said should the couple be blessed with a baby soon, they would accept it with open arms.

"We don't have plans yet to have children, but if we're blessed with one, Alhamdulillah.

"We are on the same page when it comes to this. We don't have any plans, but we will accept whatever that comes our way," she said.

Shila's father, Datuk Amir Amzah Salleh (ND Lala), officiated the couple's wedding ceremony.

The ceremony was held at Masjid Darul Ehsan Taman Tun Razak Ampang and was witnessed by the Assistant Registrar of Marriages, Mohamad Khairi Hussein.

Previously, Shila once married Haris Idraki Elias in April 2018, but their relationship ended in divorce in February, last year.
