It appears that rock band Blink 182’s frontman Tom DeLonge stands in solidarity with The 1975’s Matty Healy following his controversy with Malaysia.

DeLonge, uploaded a picture of him getting a peck on the cheek by Healy at the Lollapalooza festival with a caption that drew a stream of negative reactions from Instagram users.

“I guess myself ‘AND’ @the1975 won’t be going to Malaysia - just a couple dudes kissing during their phenomenal set at #lollapalooza @trumanblack”.

A user, @izzaizelan commented: “Literally nobody cares. We have fantastic local bands in Malaysia and the region”.

Meanwhile, @thuggz36 wrote: “Irony, you ask people to respect your way of life and cultures but you can’t even respect others culture. Keep provoking for what when you got many fans from that country. White people and its double standard strike(s) again”.

Another user commented: “I’ve been a Blink 182 fan since I was a teenager. I support Tom with his fascination over UAPs. However the general masses of these so-called "first world countries" don't realise it yet. The land of Nusantara is way ahead with our thinking than any other place in the world. We are the land blessed by Mother Earth, so don't try and colonise our minds with your backward culture. We're okay with you sheeples staying that way in your country, but don't bring it here”.

At press time, the post has garnered more than 63000 likes and almost 2700 comments.
