PN pledges to offer more job opportunities for Penangites

KEPALA BATAS - Perikatan Nasional (PN) pledges to offer more job opportunities for school leavers and university graduates in Penang.
Gerakan President Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai said one of the PN's main manifestos focuses on creating more job opportunities for the people of the state.
"PN creates many job opportunities for school leavers, university graduates, and those who are jobless," he said.
Lau said this during the Penang PN Manifesto Launch at Hotel Seri Malaysia, Kepala Batas, here today.
Adding further, Lau said PN will allocate some RM1.5 million as a subsidy for industrial training programmes in Penang.
"PN will allocate as much as RM1.5 million as a subsidy to state government subsidiaries and private companies involved in the Penang industrial training programme," he said.
PN also pledged to provide aid incentives for licenced fishermen, he added.
"Not to forget the fishermen who sacrifice their lives and cross the sea for their daily income.
"RM5 million will be provided as an aid incentive for the licenced fishermen. They could use the incentives to buy boat engines and fibre boats," he added.
