‘I’m a victim of circumstances’ - Sanusi
SIK - Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor says that he is a victim of circumstances following frequent attacks by the opposing party.
The Perikatan Nasional (PN) General Election Director equated his situation as if he were being ‘harassed’ by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) - Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership.
"I am indeed a victim; he (Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail) wants to mess with me... I am indeed a victim—a victim of fraud, a victim of spin, a victim of confusion of facts—I am a victim...
"I have clear facts; I am speaking based on the agency or department report; that is the fact we have," he said.
He was met by the media after participating in a friendly football match with local residents at the Felda Teloi Timur Public Field here on Monday.
Sanusi said this when asked to comment on the allegations by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail that the reaction shown by PN and himself was said to be deliberate in creating sympathy or playing victim.
Sanusi, however, rejected the allegation that it aimed to gain the people’s sympathy for the PN.
"No, the people really like Pas; it’s not about sympathy; they like Pas’ struggles," he said.
Previously, Sinar Harian reported that the Pakatan Harapan Secretary General claimed that the reaction displayed by the PN leader was as if he wanted to gain sympathy, which was contrary to the true character of Sanusi, who had been seen as fierce.
