GOMBAK - Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari stresses that the legal action he filed against caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor was a matter of self-defence and not abuse of power.

He added that the action was not aimed at curtailing freedom of speech but rather to counter the defamation directed towards him.

"He spreads baseless accusations.

"They have no integrity, even Che'gu Bard (also) should not be entertained, retract the baseless claims about Azmin (Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali) on the gateway.

"I don't take Che'gu Bard's accusations seriously. He does that because someone's paying him," he added.

He said this during a special Selangor Menteri Besar media session at the Gombak Member of Parliament's office here today.

Amirudin said the issue that was raised has been addressed by all parties, including the Landasan Lumayan Berjaya Sdn Bhd and Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG).

"For the attacks in the past week on issues like this, I have explained extensively for an hour in Parliament regarding SMG and Ir Izham explained for 45 minutes in the State Legislative Assembly session.

"This matter is not to be taken lightly for they want to exploit this for political gain and turn it into defamation. We say not to be loud about it but when we sue, they get angry," he concluded.

His mindset is just like the 'green party.' All accusations are done 'green party' -style. Perikatan Nasional is simply copying and pasting," he further explained. - AWANI
