Zahid will topple Anwar if he doesn’t help in court case, Wan Fayshal claims
KUALA LUMPUR - The government will not succeed in the next five years because Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will cause the same fate to Pakatan Harapan as he did to two former premiers, Bersatu Youth Chief claims.
Wan Ahmad Fayhsal said this in reference to former prime ministers Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who ended their tenures amid political strife before their terms ended.
"If he (Anwar) does not help Zahid, Zahid will do the same thing as what he did to Muhyiddin and Ismail Sabri.
"These two premiers, based on Zahid’s perspective, did not want to interfere at all in his court case, but after less than 10 months of Anwar being in power, the case’s deputy public prosecutor (DPP) Datuk Raja Rozela (Raja Toran) has been dismissed, dropped from leading the prosecution case, which is almost at the end," he said at the 'Ceramah Umum DUN Hulu Kelang' at Taman Melawati, here, tonight.
The senior prosecutor, who had been the lead DPP in the case where Zahid is accused of misappropriating RM31 million of charity foundation Yayasan Akal Budi (YAB) funds, was reported to have been dropped from handling the case yesterday.
