SHAH ALAM - Comedian and radio host Shuib remains determined to pursue a defamation lawsuit linked to false claims about him and his late wife, Siti Sarah Raissuddin, being Freemasons.

Shahmira Muhammad, popularly known as Shuib, aims to raise awareness and send a strong message against the spread of fake news on social media for societal harmony.

"I'm taking this step as a concerned citizen who values mutual respect in our Malaysian culture. This is a call for those who spread baseless slanders to halt such actions," Shuib said in a press conference on Thursday.

Based on past reports, a social media user identified as John Dihani had alleged a connection between Shuib's wife's death and the Covid-19 vaccine agenda. The claim insinuated that Siti Sarah needed to be put to sleep to demonstrate the vaccine's effectiveness, leading to her demise.

This statement was made using a photo of Shuib with his current wife, Watie (Fati Nikmatul Adawiyah Hanifiah), each covering one eye, purportedly one of the symbols of the secret organisation.

Shuib said he intends to transform this ordeal into a constructive initiative against defamation.
