SHAH ALAM - If Perikatan Nasional (PN) takes over, Malaysia will not be able to progress but will stay in the same place, says former Klang MP.

Charles Anthony Santiago expressed that the state and federal administrations under the unity government worked together to provide support for the people, but if PN took over, this might not be the case.

“Other countries have progress, so Malaysia has to progress as well.

“(We can see that) the federal government is trying to push the wages up, which I think is a strategy and a plan that pushes the country to the next level,” he told Sinar Daily during an interview recently.

The Pakatan Harapan (PH) member added that while people were still undecided before this, the electors should have their stands on which party to vote for during the state election, which would occur tomorrow.

“I would think that generally, PH will be able to retain Selangor and there’s no issue of us losing Selangor.

“I think the message is very clear that we want a total majority in Selangor and I think the people are aware of that,” he said.

Commenting further, he added that Selangor did quite well and had the best administration in the country and region for the past five years.
