'I hope the state government focuses on job opportunities for the youth' - Voter

PETALING JAYA: Over 2.8 million young voters are fulfilling their responsibilities at 997 polling centers across the state of Selangor in this state election.

For one young voter, Nurain Nazuraa Mohd Ghazali, 28, she hopes that the mandate given to leaders and political parties is used for the people's benefit.

"I feel very proud to have fulfilled my responsibility as a Selangor citizen. As a young voter, I hope the state government can provide assistance to young voters in Selangor, especially in terms of job opportunities," she said when interviewed by Astro AWANI today.

Nurain explained that she, along with her mother Hasnah Bujang and sister Nurul Nadia, were up as early as 7am to fulfill their voting duty for the Seri Setia State Legislative Assembly at Kelana Jaya Complex.

"I want a progressive state government that prioritizes the people, so that we, the youth, can be more successful in this challenging economic situation," she added.

More than 3.74 million Selangor voters are fulfilling their responsibilities across 6,000 polling streams at 997 polling centers open from 8am to 6pm today. - AWANI
