SIK - Jeneri state seat incumbent Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor is confident that no major losses would occur with Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Kedah.

Sanusi said based on his observations the PN wave in Kedah continues to be strong and capable of holding on.

"I'm optimistic about achieving victory, there are no odds of losing.

"Usually when the surrounding mood is nerve-racking, we might lose. If we observe it, not only today (voting day), but for the past three days the wave of support was good and I hope it translates onto the ballot papers.

"I'm confident we can win," he said when meeting reporters after voting at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Beris Jaya here on Saturday.

Sanusi commented on PN's potential throughout the six states having elections and said there will be some major figures who would fall.

"Throughout the states facing elections I see the major PN wave and there will be some upsets in a few states.

"It would at least occur in several state assemblies, major Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional figures will fall and several PN underdogs would win, we will wait for the results tonight," he said.

He commented on the Kedah Menteri Besar (MB) post and said the matter represented a different process and the decision would be made later.

"That I don't know yet as it is a different voting process to become Assemblyman first and the MB post process would be held differently later," he explained.

Sanusi who was the PN Election Director urged the public to go vote and perform their responsibilities.

He informed that he would be present at the Kedah Pas Complex tonight for the vote tallying process.

However, the caretaker MB would focus on the Jeneri areas first before heading to the Kedah Pas Complex. - AWANI
