Polls: PH-BN wins 31 seats in Negeri Sembilan

PUTRAJAYA - The Pakatan Harapan (PH)-Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition successfully wins 31 state seats in the Negeri Sembilan state elections.

Election Commission (EC) chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh said PH won 17 seats while BN won 14.

"The remainder was won by Perikatan Nasional (PN) with five of 36 state seats contested.

"The decision was based on the overall votes as of 11pm," he said.

He said that during the state elections and Kuala Terengganu by-elections press conference on Saturday.

Abdul Ghani informed no party obtained a majority of over 50 per cent of the seats contested.

The elections for the six states had 570 candidates contesting for 245 state seats.

9,773,571 voters were expected to perform their responsibilities in 3,190 polling centres in 17,048 areas or polling channels to form the new state government.
