SHAH ALAM - Chairman of Barisan Nasional’s Women Dr Noraini Ahmad has issued a press statement stating that Wanita UMNO Malaysia respects the people's mandate following the results of the state election yesterday.

“Perikatan Nasional continues to govern three states while the Unity Government retains the mandate and trust to administer the states of Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and Pulau Pinang,” said Noraini.

She also said, “the Unity Government's coalition is still in its early stages but collaboration and compatibility demonstrated by all party members has provided a solid foundation for us to move forward, forming a stronger team for the future.”

“Thank you to the party leadership for placing their faith in female candidates to run in the state elections,” said Noraini.

Noraini ended her press statement by stating: “Thank you also to the voters who have continued to support the Unity Government as we work together to establish stability and prosperity for our beloved nation.”
