Ahmad Samsuri begins official duty as Terengganu Menteri Besar today


KUALA TERENGGANU - The Terengganu Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, officially commenced his duties today.
He punched his time card at 9:07 AM at his office in Wisma Darul Iman today.
Ahmad Samsuri then spent some timer with his office staff before beginning his tasks.
The Member of the State Legislative Assembly for Ru Rendang was sworn in as the Menteri Besar in the presence of the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, at Istana Syarqiyyah yesterday.
Ahmad Samsuri retained his Ru Rendang State Assembly seat in the Terengganu State Election for two consecutive terms.
Ahmad Samsuri, who is also the Deputy President of Pas, defeated the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate, Suhaimi Sulaiman, with a majority of 17,286 votes after securing 20,927 votes, while Suhaimi received 3,641 votes.
For the first time in the history of new politics, the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly has no opposition after the National Alliance (PN) successfully swept all 32 seats in the recent State Election held last Saturday.
