SHAH ALAM - There is no donation campaign being conducted for a cat named Oyen, who was also a victim in the recent aircraft accident in Elmina, Shah Alam, last Thursday.

This was confirmed by the clinic treating the cat, Zul Erwan Veterinary Clinic, in an Instagram post.

"As a precautionary measure, the clinic has not initiated any donation drive on behalf of Oyen.

"Hence, please be cautious if there are any donation appeals in the name of Oyen," according to the post today.

In the same post, the clinic also informed that they do not allow anyone to adopt Oyen for care.

"The clinic has received many Direct Messages (DMs) and calls for adopting Oyen.

"Hereby, I would like to inform that Oyen is not open for adoption as he still has an owner, who is one of the Health Ministry (KKM) ambulance team members who rescued Oyen," they stated.

The clinic also expressed gratitude to the public for their concern and mentioned that Oyen is currently in stable condition.

The male cat was previously reported to have been rescued by KKM officers and transported to the clinic in an ambulance.

Oyen suffered injuries to its ribs, believed to be caused by debris during the accident, and is expected to require time to fully recover.
