SHAH ALAM – The Karnival Pendidikan Sinar Bestari which will take place for three days from Sept 8 to 10 at the Karangkraf Group Complex will showcase various exhibitions and interesting activities to visitors.

Sinar Karangkraf Group Chief Marketing and Branding Officer Nik Justin Nik Mohd Ariffin said that among the exciting activities would be the Digital Skills and Career Exhibition from industry players such as Apple Education, TikTok, Les’ Copaque, AirAsia Academy, Israk Solutions Sdn Bhd, National Science Center, Indah Water Consortium (IWK) Sdn Bhd, Bank Rakyat, and Yayasan Selangor.

He added that there would also be uniformed unit demonstrations from the Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysian Armed Forces, National Anti-Drug Agency, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, and the Malaysian Prisons Department.

"Visitors, who are primary and secondary school students, have the opportunity to participate in the TV School Resource Center (TV PSS) talent test, which provides various insights into the broadcasting and journalism world.

"Other competitions such as marching, choir, dikir barat (a traditional Malay performance), Sinar Bestari's got talent, speech, crossword puzzle, storytelling of the Prophet's biography, robotics, storytellers, E-Sports, short stories, rhythmic speech, Kids Quran Hour, and many more are also available for interested students to participate in.

"Activities such as haunted house, mini zoo, horse riding, and rahmah sales from the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) are also highlighted to the public in this carnival," he said.

Nik Justin further said that the Karnival Pendidikan Sinar Bestari, in collaboration with Sinar Harian, Sinar Bestari, and the Selangor State Education Department (JPN), provided an opportunity for over 30 vendors to offer various traditional and local cuisine at affordable prices through the SinarPlus Food Fest.

Several food truck entrepreneurs (selling food from trucks) would also participate in the carnival, such as Starbucks, Milo, Coconut Shake, Yakult, Paksu Kuey Teow, as well as Takoyaki & Corndog, each to feature their popular products for carnival visitors to enjoy.

In conjunction with the Karnival Pendidikan Sinar Bestari, visitors also have the opportunity to purchase books at discounted rates as well as a 50 per cent discount on lifetime membership cards through the Karangkraf Warehouse Sale 2023, from Aug 31 to Sept 10.

Meanwhile, Nik Justin stated that the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival was not held just for the sake of entertainment but instead would focus on activities for academics, soft skills, and digital education or edutainment.

"The country's education system is currently undergoing various transformations and the rapid development of technology today requires the public to adapt to the changing times.

"Therefore, the organisation of such a carnival is a suitable platform to expose students to digital education," he said, targeting more than 3,000 daily visitors at the carnival that runs from 9am to 7pm.
