10 Negeri Sembilan exco members to take oath tomorrow

SEREMBAN - A total of 10 Negeri Sembilan state executive councillors (exco) will be sworn in at Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah on Thursday.

The ceremony of appointment and swearing-in would be held in front of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir scheduled at 9am.

The office of Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan also stated that the first state government exco meeting after the Negeri Sembilan state election would be held at Wisma Negeri here after the swearing-in ceremony.

However, the division of the exco members by party and portfolio had yet to be revealed.

Previously, the media reported that Umno Negeri Sembilan chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias hoped that representatives from Barisan Nasional (BN) would obtain five or six quotas for exco positions.

He said this was based on the number of State Legislative Assembly seats won by Barisan Nasional (BN) in the last state election.
