KOTA BHARU - Kelantan will adopt the same theme as the Federal government for this year's National Day celebration.

Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan announced that the state government has decided to use the theme "Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan, Penuhi Harapan".

"However... we are adding 'Membangun Bersama Islam' (Developing Together with Islam) at the end of the tagline," he said during a press conference after the first Kelantan state exco meeting for the 15th term held in Kota Darulnaim today.

According to him, Kelantan's National Day celebration theme is "Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan Membangun Bersama Islam".

He noted that this year's celebration will be slightly different, taking place on the eve of Aug 31 at Dataran Warisan Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.

Mohamed Fadzli informed that there won't be a morning celebration on Aug 31 as is customary.

"This year, we will also have an extraordinary fireworks display.

The program will start at 6.30pm with 'Kelantan Berselawat' (Kelantan Blessings recital), followed by a parade and procession inside the stadium," he said.

He invited all citizens to join in celebrating the brink of independence with the state government's leadership.
