10 companies receive grants totalling RM500,000 for creation of patriotic songs

KUALA LUMPUR - Ten music production companies were awarded RM500,000 from the 2023 Irama Perpaduan Digital Content Fund (DKD) for the creation of patriotic songs of various genres in conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day.

The grants under the Communications and Digital Ministry were handed over through Kumpulan MyCreative Ventures (MyCreative), with each company receiving RM50,000.

"In line with the theme of the National Day and Malaysia Day celebration this year, "Malaysia MADANI: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan”, the provision of this grant is hoped to inject a spirit of unity and love for the country, especially among the youth, in addition to boosting the country’s music industry,” according to a statement issued by MyCreative today.

The statement also said that a total of 53 applications were received for the Irama Perpaduan DKD. However, they were screened based on their ideas, quality and merit.

The grant recipients are Faithmen Holdings Sdn Bhd which composed the song Lagu Suara Moden Malaysia; Daqmie Music Factory (Dirgahayu Negaraku); Kaban Music Production (KMP) Sdn Bhd (Lagu Patriotik Hari Malaysia); Itos Cottage Music (Aku Kibarkan Panji) and Shoreline Resources (Kita Kekal).
