SHAH ALAM – Malaysians should fully support the aggressive actions of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his efforts to eradicate all forms of waste and corruption in the country.

Perlis Rasuah Busters Chief Nor Halmey Hamdah stated that the success of cleansing the nation of corruption could only be achieved with the support of all parties.

“The people should not confine their minds with their own political bias, where every action taken is linked to political enemies. Anwar is seen as acting fairly and without bias.

“Provide support, encouragement, and opportunities for him to prove his ability to lead the country by purging it from corruption,” he told Sinar Harian on Thursday.

Anwar had consistently expressed his commitment to combating corruption in the country.

On Wednesday, he once again emphasised the agenda to improve governance in the country, aiming to eliminate wastage and mismanagement.

Anwar firmly stated that good governance was also crucial in attracting investments, improving the business environment, and safeguarding the safety of the people and the nation’s borders.

He, who is also the Finance Minister, mentioned that this was emphasised during a meeting with department heads and enforcement agency representatives related to financial crimes at the Finance Ministry on Wednesday evening.

Elaborating further, Nor Halmey stated that Anwar’s approach would bring about prosperity for the people, thereby encouraging various benefits that the country will enjoy in the future.

“I believe that when the country is free of corruption, the people will also benefit. For instance, investors will become more confident to invest in our country.

“This will create job opportunities for our young people, so we need to have the same determination to protect the country from the damage caused by corrupt individuals masked by the nobility of political seats and the like,” he said.
