PUTATAN - Putatan MP Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya denies rumours that he is one of the seven Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs who will vacate the seat.

He insisted that his current focus was only on solving the problems of water supply and roads in the state.

"Those are all rumours, don't focus on that too much. We just focus on work.

"There is nothing so far, I am concentrating on solving the water and road problems," he said briefly after the Sabah Maju Jaya motivational talk closing ceremony at Dewan Sri Putatan here, today.

The Deputy Chief Minister said this to reporters when asked to comment on rumours that seven BN MPs will vacate their seats, including one in Sabah.

The allegation was made by Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam through a video recording where the MPs said to be involved were four, from Johor, Sabah, Pahang and one from a state in the northern side.

Shahelmey who is also Tanjung Keramat assemblyman was previously suspended from Umno following his action supporting and signing a statutory declaration (SD) to support Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister in the political turmoil that occurred earlier this year.
