Amanah's candidate capable of defending Pulai - Mat Sabu
SERDANG - Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) candidate Suhaizan Kayat is seen as capable of defending the Pulai parliamentary seat in the upcoming by-election in September.
This was expressed by its President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.
"God willing, we will succeed there," he said during a press conference after officiating the Show Tech Mardi 2023 event at Taman Ekso Agro Malaysia Serdang (MAEPS) today.
He made these remarks while commenting on his confidence in Suhaizan's ability to defend Pulai.
Yesterday, Suhaizan, who is also the Amanah Johor Deputy Chairman, was announced as the candidate to contest in the Pulai by-election representing the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) coalition.
In the 15th General Election (GE15), the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub retained the seat after winning with a majority of 20,989 votes.
He defeated former Home Minister Deputy Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohammed, who garnered 23,026 votes, while Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Loh Kah Yong secured 14,432 votes.
