PUTRAJAYA - The ninth edition of Malaysia's #QuranHour made a difference by involving more youths, including reciters and scholars, to ensure that they are prepared to shoulder the responsibility for the country's better future, said the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) Founder, Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub.

"It aligns with this year's theme, and the message we want to convey is that the youth must rise to take over the affairs of advancing the nation.

"In the current atmosphere, we hope this group sets a good example for society.

"That's why we involve young figures from all political parties, both from the government and the opposition," he said.

He revealed this after attending Malaysia's #QuranHour themed 'Malaysia with Noble Ethics: Liberated Youths, Virtuous Leaders' in conjunction with the celebration of the 66th National Day at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque here on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Hussamuddin mentioned that the live broadcast of the Malaysia #QuranHour programmeme on four local television stations was a significant success for the programmeme.

He noted that it's not easy for such a programme to secure a place and be simultaneously aired on television.

Hence, he expressed his appreciation for the commitment of RTM as the official broadcaster and the collaborative media partners, TV9, TV AlHijrah, and Astro Oasis.
