SHAH ALAM - The statement by Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, who claims that Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang wants the party to split up from Pakatan Rakyat (PR) due to hudud and Islamic state, is a lie.

Pas Information chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin said it was evident in the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign that Mohamad insulted Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi but ultimately chose to be with the party without feeling guilty.

"This allegation comes from a person who is used to cheating and we are aware that there have been many statements by the Amanah President who previously clearly cheated the people and members of his party.

"Malaysians and Pas members must still remember Mat Sabu's words in a speech when he was still with us, where he stated that if he quits this struggle (Pas), don't join him because he might not be sane at that time," he said in a statement. on Wednesday.

Mohamad in a speech on Monday, claimed that Hadi did not tell the truth about why Pas no longer wants to work with DAP because the party wanted to be with Umno after the 13th general election (GE13).

He further claimed that Pas decided to cooperate with DAP because it wanted to establish a unity government with Umno and that matter was agreed upon during Pas Summit discussions in 2015.

According to Khairil Nizam, the party had never forgotten their principle of struggle, in fact, Pas choosing not to be with DAP was also because of the principle.

"Today, those who are condemning Pas for allegedly wanting to be with Umno for power are those who are in the Pakatan Harapan (PH)-Umno Madani Government. This is also a lie to the people," he said.
