SHAH ALAM - Every year for the National Day celebration, Malaysians look forward to the parade of uniformed bodies which features police, army, navy, air force and Fire and Department personnel.

Various events were featured throughout the parade, including parades, formation performances, band performances, and so on, but the most eye-catching was the appearance of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) team.

Like last year, they were among the main teams that stole the audience's attention the most and got thunderous cheers from the visitors when they featured muscly firefighters during their procession.

This year gets more exciting as the firefighters participating in the parade at Dataran Putrajaya held pick-up line banner, one of it portrayed ‘'The fire is hot but you cool it' ('Api memang panas tapi anda semua penyejuknya').

There was also a banner with the words 'Abang bomba love you' written on it, thus creating excitement among the audience.

Not only that, but a fireman also held another banner with the words 'Sayang kamu ketat-ketat' (Love you so much) written on it while standing on a fire truck during the parade.

More than 100,000 visitors attended the National Day 2023 celebration organised by the Unity Government at Dataran Putrajaya here on Thursday.

Themed "'Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan', the celebration involved 17,262 participants, 67 contingents, 36 marching bands, 534 land and air assets and 100 service animals.
