KUALA LUMPUR - Healthcare provider KPJ Healthcare Bhd has appointed Chin Keat Chyuan as its new president/managing director effective today.

In a statement, it said Chin takes over the helm from Norhaizam Mohammad, who was the officer In charge (OIC) for the group from Sept 5, 2022 and will now continue her role as chief financial officer (CFO).

"Chin is an industry leader with over two decades at Johnson & Johnson, bringing with him a wealth of industry experience and an exemplary track record to drive the growth and transformation at KPJ Healthcare,” it said.

KPJ Healthcare chairman Datuk Md Arif Mahmood welcomed Chin's appointment, saying he is confident that Chin will be able to further advance their efforts to redefine the healthcare ecosystem.

"I also would like to thank Norhaizam for her contributions and commitment during her tenure as the OIC,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chin said he is committed to working closely with the Board of Directors and KPJ team to deliver on their next phase of growth.

"We plan to accelerate our digital and healthcare transformation journey to deliver further on our patients and customers-centric holistic healthcare solutions and services. I also look forward to working with all stakeholders to enhance the group’s image and value,” he said.

The group also appointed Michael Leddin as chief strategy officer (CSO) effective Sept 4, 2023.
