SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian Immigration Department reminds the public that there are no agents or middlemen appointed to manage any entry permit applications.

The Immigration Department, in a statement to Sinar, stated individuals should not simply trust such offers or services from irresponsible individuals at any cost.

It said information regarding application procedures and payments made can be referred to on the official immigration website.

"Immigration has never appointed any agent for such matters.

"The public is asked to contact or refer to the department directly on any matter and should not use the services of a third party or such," it said on Sunday.

Immigration added that the public could check for inquiries through their online inquiry system at https://eapp.imi.gov.my or visit the official immigration website at https://www.imi.gov.my for further information.

The department previously detected several social media offers for services to manage entry permits.
