PUTRAJAYA - A total of 90 per cent of early voters consisting of police officers had fulfilled their responsibility in the Pulai by-election.

Election Commission (EC) secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak informed that the total number of early voters in P161 Pulai was 831 people.

"The EC would like to congratulate the election management officer and team for carrying out their responsibility very well today," he said in a statement today.

The election held simultaneously with Simpang Jeram's by-election follows the death of its incumbent Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub last July.

EC had fixed this Saturday as the voting day.
