SHAH ALAM - The University of Manchester (South East Asia) Centre has launched its Manchester Global Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Programme in Malaysia.

This two-year part-time program focuses on developing business professionals across various industries and emphasizes international experiential learning.

Kuala Lumpur is now the 6th city globally to host this prestigious program, marking Malaysia as a significant destination for global education.

The MBA program includes thematic courses reflecting current global geopolitical and economic affairs, with faculty members from The University of Manchester's main campus in the United Kingdom.

Students have the flexibility to choose from over 20 specialist electives and can study abroad at the university's Global Centers in Manchester, Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Singapore. Complimentary hotel accommodation for six nights is provided during studies abroad.

The program utilizes The Manchester Method, an experiential learning approach blending on-site and online learning with hands-on workshops and live projects. It offers an accelerated 18-month pathway.

The Manchester Global MBA is designed for diverse class profiles, including professionals from over 15 industries such as manufacturing, finance, consulting, medical, and technology.

Since its launch, the program has produced successful alumni, including the Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad CEO Dafinah Hilmi, who completed her MBA during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Manchester experience was so inclusive and people-centric. Having to adapt to such a dynamic cohort of colleagues across different time zones and nationalities really grew both my personal resilience and professional communication skills.

"As the MBA course is designed to give graduates the exact same experience across the Global Centres and workshop locations, it was pivotal in broadening my business network and professional connections even across continents,” Dafinah stated.

Graduates join a global alumni network of 500,000 students from almost 200 countries.

The July 2023 Malaysian cohort includes prominent professionals like Dr. Ng Kuo Chern, Resident Medical Officer at IHH Healthcare, and Dr. Nadiah Salwi Hudi, Principal Engineer at Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
