SHAH ALAM - The Sinar Bestari Education Carnival has entered its second day today, and organisers expect the event to be more lively with visitors taking advantage of the weekend.

Themed "Promoting Digital Generation Education," the event from 9am to 7pm saw an extraordinary response on its first day yesterday with visitors from schools around the Klang Valley and outside.

The extraordinary determination of teachers and school management who are willing to rent buses to facilitate students' commute to the carnival is highly commendable.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek who was present to inaugurate the carnival described the event as a platform to empower the country's digital education agenda in line with the Education Ministry's goals.

In the meantime, event manager Khairil Fithry Mustapha said that his party will ensure that the event today goes more smoothly considering that more parents are expected to come over with their children apart from the school groups.

The carnival brought together a whole line-up of various exhibitions and exciting activities including Mini Zoo, Haunted House with a ticket at only RM2, PSS TV Talent Test, Health and Dental Checkup as well as Horse Carriage.

This event had assembled booths from exhibitors such as AirAsia Academy, Petrosains and Farm In The City in zoo, National Planetarium, Farm Fresh, Group Buku Karangkraf, Les' Copaque, Aeon Big Sdn Bhd (Aeon Big), Bank Muamalat, Bank Simpanan Nasional, and Pertama Co-opbank (CBP).

There were also booths by Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Selangor Farm Fresh, Wardah from Pharmacore Technology & Innovation, Able Perfect Sdn Bhd and more opened throughout the carnival.

At the same time, the Karangkraf Warehouse Sale is still running until Sept 10 offering discounts of up to 80 per cent on selected books.
