By-elections: Ahmad Maslan congratulates PH-BN candidates with catchy ‘pantun’

SHAH ALAM - Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan congratulates Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates through a catchy ‘pantun’.
Well-known for his Malay riddles and ‘pantun’, he posted two rhymes dedicated to Malaysians and the candidates who won the Johor by-elections.
The Pontian Member of Parliament said the victory today was for the sake of the people.
"Bunga selasih, di sawah padi, Jadi wangian, ceriakan hayat, Terima kasih, kepada pengundi, Menang #Perpaduan, demi #rakyat," he posted.
He added another rhymes with a caption of ‘old rhyme’ stressing that good kindness will always be remembered.
"Pulau Pandan, jauh ke tengah, Gunung Daik, bercabang tiga, Hancur badan, dikandung tanah, Budi yang baik, dikenang juga," he added.
Earlier, PH candidate Nazri Abdul Rahman won the Simpang Jeram state seat in today’s by-election, winning by a majority of 3,514 votes.
Meanwhile, Suhaizan Kaiat wins the Pulai parliamentary seat with a majority of 18, 641 votes.
