Malays play important role in DAP, says Syefura

SHAH ALAM - DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) member Young Syefura Othman has called on all parties, whether partners or opponents, not to question the basis of the party's fight and stance on basic matters in the constitution.
She said that DAP's fight is clearly in line with the Federal Constitution and in accordance with the law.
She cited the party's consistent involvement in the democratic process and national elections as proof.
"We welcome DAP secretary general Anthony Loke Siew Fook's statement at the 2023 DAP Party Conference that DAP will always be guided by the Federal Constitution.
"This statement reiterates the party's stance that DAP always upholds, respects, and defends the basic matters in the Federal Constitution," she said.
Syefura added that DAP is not a party for one race only.
"It fights for all ethnics and races in Malaysia, including the Malays," she added.
She said that Malays in DAP play the same role as other races and nationalities in contributing and serving the society.
She also pointed out that Malay DAP members hold positions at every level of the party.
