Malaysia's end-Aug palm oil stocks up 22.5 per cent

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia, the world's second-largest palm oil producer, saw its palm oil stocks rise 22.5 per cent month-on-month to 2.12 million tons at the end of August, official data showed Monday.

The data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) showed that crude palm oil (CPO) production grew 8.91 per cent to 1.75 million tons.

Meanwhile, palm oil exports fell 9.78 per cent to 1.22 million tons.

Palm oil imports, on the other hand, climbed 6.53 percent to 110,621 tons. - XINHUA
