KUALA LUMPUR - An unfortunate fate befell a teen after he fell victim to sexual assault and was locked up after he was 'baited' into a job search by individuals he met through an online application.

Sources said the 18-year-old victim was offered help finding a job by a man in July.

"After several days of getting to know each other, the victim and the suspect then met last month to search for jobs," sources said.

The source stated the victim was then lured into the suspect's home in Kampung Pandan, where he promised to bring him to the supermarket for work.

"The suspect brought the victim to the supermarket as promised to look for the job before bringing him to the man's home once again.

"However, while in the suspect's home, the victim was ordered to do housework and not allowed to return home," sources said.

Sources said the victim was locked in the home for 10 days, and throughout the period he was sexually assaulted multiple times.

"The victim was threatened not to speak about the incident to anyone before he returned," sources said.

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid confirms reports were received of the incident, and investigations were done under Section 377C of the Penal Code.

"The suspect has been identified, and investigations are underway. We are in the process of confirming the victim's testimony and are awaiting the doctor's examination report," he said.
