Genting Theme Park: 'We were stuck midway, left freezing in the cold,' says victim

SHAH ALAM - More than 10 victims were stuck in the Samba Gliders outdoor game in Genting Skyworld Theme Park, in a video posted on Wednesday.

The 33-second video posted by Arif on the X social media platform showed the Samba glide had gotten stuck in the middle of a ride, which clearly put the lives of victims in danger.

It is believed the ride, which started with a beautiful view, stopped all of a sudden and left all victims stranded midway through the ride, waiting for help to arrive after only 15 minutes.

"We literally got stuck midway through the ride for 15 minutes under heavy rain, freezing cold, and couldn't even open our eyes. We just keep shouting for help nonstop.

"After 15 minutes of fear and torture, the rain finally stopped. There was also a child in the first row who kept on crying too.

"New fear officially unlocked, first and worst experience theme park ride ever," the captions in the video read.

The victim expressed their utmost disappointment in the management's slow response in lending help and making sure the safety of its customers.

"They could have immediately sent people to give us an umbrella when they noticed there were technical issues, but nothing happened for 15 minutes; we were left freezing and clueless," the victim said in the video.

Meanwhile, another user, Big Ideas MY, posted a video showing that people who took the Samba glide ride were hanging in midair due to the technical errors.

"The ride had technical issues, and people were hanging up there.

"The people were literally stuck in the air; luckily I didn't get onto the ride.

"If you pay me free, I won't go and take the ride," the user said.
