National Library launches Anwar-related e-catalogue compilation

KUALA LUMPUR - The National Library of Malaysia (PNM) has launched the new e-catalogue ‘Beranotasi Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’, which is a compilation of materials featuring content or works by the Prime Minister or other works related to him.

PNM director-general Salasiah Abdul Wahab said the e-catalogue was among efforts to ensure the Malaysia MADANI concept could be preserved as an intellectual heritage for the current and future generations.

"Among the titles included in the e-publication is 'Keuntungan Dengan Tanggungjawab Sosial (Profit with Social Responsibility), published by the Institute of Strategic and International Studies in 1993.

"It contains the speech delivered by Anwar as the Minister of Finance (at that time) during a seminar," she said during the launch of the e-catalogue at the Malaysia Day 2023 programme held by PNM here, today.

PNM also launched the ‘Erti Kemerdekaan Bagi Rakyat Malaysia’ e-book, which is a collection of independence slogans from the library's Online Independence Quiz held from Aug 1-31.

Salasiah said the quiz received 28,031 entries from participants nationwide, and all the slogans submitted were available in the e-book.

She said the publication of both materials electronically was significant and timely, as well as in line with the government's efforts to boost the patriotic spirit among Malaysians. - BERNAMA
