SHAH ALAM - Muda has criticised Pakatan Harapan (PH) and questions the party's promises to reject corruption and be guided by good governance.

Muar Muda information chief Muhammad Amir Fiqri Mustapha said PH now was seen as openly normalising corruption with Barisan Nasional (BN).

"Continue with this attitude and see the public punish PH for not implementing its promises to fight corruption. Where’s the promise of reform prior to the 15th General Election?.

"If we evaluate the current situation, PH rhetorically uses reform to gain votes. If they were honest about such promises, the outdated laws would be changed, institutional reforms would be underway," he said in a statement, today.

Amir added the government previously had a two-thirds majority and could make amendments at any time.

"The excuse of giving them time could no longer be used, 20 years of preaching on reform was only empty words and without a plan?," he said.

He said he was not shocked with PH asking Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman to vacate his seat after withdrawing his support for the unity government.

“Syed Saddiq gave his commitment to support all decisions for the sake of Malaysia despite being in the opposition seat.

“However, the government now was clearly supporting corruption and kleptocrats,” he added.
