KUALA NERUS - A woman has expressed her shock and outrage after she was charged RM1 for a piece of fried chicken feet at a shop here today.

In a Facebook post, Sarahana Saa said the price was unreasonable, given the small size of the chicken feet.

"RM1 for just a chicken feet... before this, it was three for RM1. Prices have really gone up now," she wrote.

Sarahana added that she had asked the cashier twice to confirm the price, but she was assured that it was correct.

Her post quickly went viral, with many netizens sharing their own experiences of rising food prices in Terengganu.

"Wow, RM1... it's better to cook it yourself if you want to eat chicken feet," commented Che Syakirah.

"That chicken feet must be really tough; things are getting expensive nowadays," expressed Syafiq Aizat.

"It's too expensive. I thought it was expensive when people were selling two for RM1, which is the usual price. This one is also expensive," said Fatin Qalisya.

"The food prices in Terengganu are indeed high. Comparable to prices in Kuala Lumpur," commented Muhammad Hisyam Haliah.

The rising cost of food is a major concern for many Malaysians, especially those in the lower-income bracket.
