SUBANG JAYA - Police have recorded statements between humanitarian activist Caprice and Indonesian influencer Mondy Tattoo following a report made by famous preacher Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew or Ebit Lew on Tuesday.

Subang Jaya district deputy police chief Superintendent Mohd Fairus Jaafar said the statements were recorded at the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) for further investigation.

"Two individuals namely Ariz Ramli (Caprice) and Dita Restu Amanda (Mondy) have had their statements recorded for further investigation related to the report made by Ebit Lew.

"To further complete the investigation, several other witnesses will be called to assist the investigation," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the police announced that they would record Caprice and Mondy's statements for investigation under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

Selangor deputy police chief Datuk S Sasikala Devi said the case was under police’s investigation.

Sinar on Monday reported that the police confirmed receiving Ebit Lew's report regarding an allegation of defamation.

The police report was made at 2.17am following a ‘revelation’ made by Mondy on a talk programme on YouTube.
