KOTA KINABALU - Two siblings were found dead in a fire involving six houses in Kampung Pulutan, Menggatal today.

In the 1pm incident the bodies of Jackron Jabri, six, along with his younger sibling Jayraiyen, five, were found in one of the burnt homes.

Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief Lintas Agustavia Joe Guasi said that they had received a call regarding the fire at about 1.13pm.

He said that a total of 12 members were deployed to the scene that was eight kilometres away.

"According to the report, the fire involved six non-permanent houses and all of them were 100 per cent destroyed by the fire.

"The extinguishing operation was carried out and the fire was successfully controlled at 2.53pm.

"The results of the inspection revealed that two victims of the fire were two children in one of the houses," he said

Agustavia said that their bodies were handed over to the police for further action.
