KAJANG - The act of a bodyguard posing as a policeman while showing a gun just to meet his girlfriend led to his arrest in a residential area in Bandar Sungai Long near here on Thursday.

Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said the police received the report at 7.11pm from an individual who works as a security guard in the residential area involved.

He said the incident happened when the suspect wanted to enter the residential area to meet his girlfriend.

"The security guard involved asked the suspect to identify himself to be registered as a visitor, but the suspect refused to cooperate and later introduced himself as a police officer.

"The suspect became angry after the victim did not believe him and then acted to show a pistol tucked in his waist," he said in a statement on Friday.

He said the suspect also scolded and threatened the victim during the incident.

"The victim then allowed the suspect to enter the residential area involved," he said.

He further said the investigation carried out later led to the arrest of the suspect by a team of police officers from the D7 Branch of IPD Kajang.
