SHAH ALAM - Prominent preacher, Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew or Ebit Lew has filed a defamation suit against rapper and humanitarian activist, Caprice and Indonesian influencer, Mondy Tatto for accusing him of sexual harassment.

The matter was informed by Ebit through a post on the X application on Friday.

"My lawyer, Datuk Akberdin has filed a defamation suit against Caprice and Mondy at the Shah Alam Court earlier," he said.

On Monday, the media reported that Ebit had made a police report as soon as he arrived in Malaysia after returning from Jeddah following accusations that were extremely baseless.

He left it entirely to the police and lawyers to investigate and take further action.

At the same time, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said that two investigation papers involving Section 376 of the Penal Code for the offense of rape and Section 500 of the same code for the offense of defamation have been opened.

Thirteen witnesses will also be called to assist the investigations.
